The RAW DEAL in Boston, MA!

Boston in December ~ well, you can only hope for snow! Grezzo Restaurant in the Historic North End of Boston is a beautiful place, colored like a fine Tuscan Bistro. I spent a week in the Boston area with about 30 other people from around the world. We were all there to study under Alissa Cohen ~ author of Living on Live Food/Teacher/founder of Grezzo's & Leah Dubois ~ Chef/Trainer at Grezzo's (Portsmouth and Boston locations). It was a fantastic experience and I've met some people that I know will be 'long distance' friends for a great long time. I received 4 certifications that week... and the 12 hour day with hands on at Grezzo's was totally inspiring!

The RAW DEAL in Asheville, NC

The Asheville Raw Food meetup group hosted 2 fun-loving raw foodist who travel, sell raw food supplies and books, tell stories and motivate others! I had a great time talking with Matt Monarch and Angela Stokes and found the yoga studio we met in to be as charming as the good folks in the Raw community in Asheville!

The RAW DEAL just photography!

The RAW DEAL in Williamsburg, NY!

This funky area called Williamsburg...I have a real gravitational pull towards it.. but, there aren't many good trains late at night into Manhattan. That's a drag.. but, this ROCKIN' RAW restaurant is a great find in this trendy neighborhood! I loved the outdoor space! A nice garden with tables here and there and the feeling of privacy. Privacy, hmm, not something you get much of in NYC areas.. The food was really good and we ate there a lot while working in Williamsburg last summer! Definitely recommended!

The RAW DEAL in Brooklyn, NY!

THE RAW STAR! Homestyle comfort food from the real deals in Brooklyn. It was quite a trek to get there.. ah, but once I did, I found the guys so down to earth and socially active by teaching children from group schools how to grow their own food and eat the food they grow! The kids come into the restaurant once a month and bring their own food. The kitchen takes that food and makes amazing meals from it! Great concept, right?!? It is a great place, with vision! 687 Washington Ave

The RAW DEAL in NYC! East Village!

Quintessence in the EV ~ Nyc. has a great mexican dish.. Burritto's and yummy rice side and look at this salad! Portions were so generous and the flavors were savory! You can get a nice meal there for less than most. That makes this place worth a look and sit down again and again! Plus, what's not to LOVE about the EV? 263 E 10th St

The RAW DEAL in NYC!

Pure in Nyc is probably the most fabulous living and raw cuisine i've had so far! It's gourmet, so I simply couldn't handle such decadence every single day... that's why I was so happy to find their take out window.. around the corner! The take out side of Pure makes it possible for those of us who can't afford to sit down for 2 hours and eat squash blossoms.. maybe we just want a nice cool water chestnut drink or a micro salad. Perfect. I simply love it all. If you buy the cookbook, take your time with it. Pure Food and Wine 54 Irving Place, New York - (212) 477-1010
